Mother's Day Weekend: May 8-9th, 2026

Friday, May 8, 6 pm - 9 pm - Campfire Fun! Join us for live cowboy music, games, and fishing (license required). This relaxing night will be slow paced and fun for the whole family. Bring your chairs and stay a while. Hungry? Stay for dinner at one of the many local restaurants in walking distance. 

Saturday, May 9, 10 am - 7 pm - Continue the fun with shopping, educational programs, STEAM project with the Library, Chuckwagon food samples, Live Native Flute Music, mustache competition, fiddle competition, and more!

Legends of the Chisholm Trail is Belton’s heritage celebration of the rich western history, frontier spirit, and community traditions that helped shape our city. This family-friendly event invites visitors to step back in time and experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Old West through live music, chuckwagon cooking, Native American dancers, western and Native American-themed vendors, demonstrations, and interactive activities. From cowboy to Native American cultures, celebrate all the legendary people of the Chisholm Trail.
